Our foundation Šance Olomouc was established in 1992 as a part of Children’s Clinic at the Olomouc University Hospital.We help to alleviate the difficult life situation of children suffering from hematological diseases, cancer and chronic diseases. Since 2003 we are a member of CCI – Childhood Cancer International – the largest organization supporting childhood cancer patients.

Our organization helps ill children and their families in many areas – it supports the children’s clinic – purchases diagnostic medical devices and other equipment for humanization, provides psychological and financial assistance for children and their families throughout and after treatment. It also holdssummer and winter recovery camps for children of all ages affected by cancer and their families, bringing them happiness, joy, connection and support. We also organize many project and charity events. One of our missions of this year is to recruit for the bone marrow registry. We try to educate young people about the need for bone marrow donors and with our mobile team, we help them to join the register operated by the National Marrow Donor Institution. The number of donors is critical and one in four patients never find a donor. As a member of the registry, you’ll join a unique team of potential blood stem cell donors. And if you are matched with someone in need, you could save a life.
